Home Remedies to Losing Weight

There are so many different diets and diet pills on the market and online today that you are not sure which one to choose. To help save you money, here are some home remedies to help you lose those extra pounds without starving yourself. One of the first things that you need to do when you first wake up in the morning is drink a glass of warm water. Yes, that does sound unappealing, but it will help to flush all the unnecessary toxins from your body. It will also make your digestive clean and functioning better. In fifteen minutes, drink another glass of water with a little lemon juice and honey mixed in.

As with all diets and weight loss programs, even home remedies, you need to make dietary changes such as cutting out all the fatty foods. Include in your diet, plenty of fresh vegetable, fruits, and natural flavored juices. It is okay to have something sweet or high in calories, but do it in moderation. Instead of a whole candy bar, buy a bag of dark chocolate chips that you use for baking and have a few of those if you are craving something sweet.

Look for things that you love to eat with less calories such as sugar free pudding and Jell-O, two percent milk instead of whole milk, fat free cottage cheese, and yogurt to name a few. You can even make your own flavored yogurt by buying plain yogurt and adding fresh fruit such as bananas, strawberries, or blueberries. If you still need to have a sweeter taste in the yogurt, you can add a sprinkle or two of artificial sweetener.

To make it look like you are getting more, use a salad plate instead of a regular size dinner plate. Drink eight ounces of water before each meal to give your stomach that full feeling.
When you go grocery shopping, make sure that you have time to read the labels because some foods that state they are “lite” or “fat-free” may actually have more calories than the regular item. In addition to checking calories, check serving size, the amount of sodium, sugar, and carbohydrates per serving. Loosing weight is not just about cutting calories.

Of course, you need to make sure that you are exercising too. Watching your calories and being a couch potato do not work. Exercising does not mean you have to have a gym membership. You can exercise by dancing, doing aerobics in your home, or brisk walks.
